Learn from the world’s top chefs, farmers, food scientists, and other expert who have generously contributed their knowledge and experience to give you a well-rounded education in the world of food. Our online programs includes a culinary program, a baking and pastry program, farming and sustainability, food science, a deep dive into chocolate, cooking with smoke, ice creams and frozen desserts, nutrition, health and safety, tools and appliances, plants and animals, fish and fowl, and more.

Once you’ve learned the basics you can visit the homes of some of the best and most interesting chefs and bakers around and learn their recipes, tips, and techniques.

Chef’s Village is a place like none other.  Whether you’re just getting started with cooking and baking or have been doing it for years, you will gain a deep understanding of how food works and how our food system works. And more importantly, you will do so using learning science that will actually make you smarter and more successful in other areas of your life. You will also have the opportunity to learn some great techniques and recipes from some of the best chefs on the planet.

Available to Everyone

Our online program is designed for teens and young adults, but truly, it’s great for anyone. 

This is truly a community program, and each paid enrollment allows another student who can’t afford to enroll to participate at no cost. We also offer full scholarship programs that include a free kitchen starter kit with items such as a digital thermometer and digital scale. 

A person’s financial situation will never be a barrier to participation in Chef’s Village.

About Silver Linings

Founded in 1997, Silver Linings has been involved with many areas related to health, education, and the environment, including funding medical research, improving hospital facilities, enhancing music and arts programs, and providing other resources and benefits to improve people’s lives and help care for our planet.

In addition to our community projects, our fund-raising projects include producing a number of concerts: Carlos Santana, Buster Williams, Kenny Barron, Robert Silverman, and other rock, jazz, and classical musicians.
